How the Berea Institute collects, uses and protects personal data submitted through this website.
What we collect
We collect the information you submit directly: your name, email address and message when you use the contact form; your name, email, institution and motivation when you apply for support; and your email address when you subscribe to our bulletin.
How we use it
Submissions are used only to respond to your enquiry, assess your application, or send the newsletter you requested. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with third parties for marketing.
Retention
Contact messages are retained for two years. Support applications are retained for the duration of the programme cycle plus three years for audit. Newsletter subscriptions are retained until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing privacy@bereainstitute.org. Newsletter emails include a one-click unsubscribe link.
Security
Data is stored in an access-controlled managed database with row-level security. Only authorised staff can read submissions.
